Use of Media and Technology in Education
- Technologies must be appropriate to learning objectives. Consideration
should be given to how technologies chosen serve the goals of the programme,
how they are integrated into the learning process, training of users to use
the resources appropriately, in terms of cost and availability.
- Suitable organizational, curricular, and instructional decision-making processes
need to be in place for technology to be effective.
- Sustainability of technology must be planned for. This requires careful
costing of security, maintenance, acquisition of software, and purchase of
materials.
- Monitoring and evaluation procedures need to check whether the selected
technologies are effective and appropriate.
