Located on the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia, Victoria Falls has been called of the 7 Wonders of the Natural World.  Although not the tallest or widest waterfall in the world, Victoria Falls is claimed to have the largest sheet of falling water in the world.  The first European explorers to the Victoria Falls faced a formidable hike through thick jungle.  Today, a bridge spans the falls making the trip accessible to everyone.  If you want to plan a trip to Victoria Falls, there are some things you should consider.

Getting to the Falls

Rainy season in Victoria Falls runs from November to March.  Rain normally comes in the afternoon and can be in torrential downpours or light sprinkles.  From April to October, weather is dry and cool, so much in fact that a light jacket is needed at night.  The flow of water is considerably higher during the rainy season, but mist often covers the falls at this time.  Details of Victoria Falls are often more visible during the dry season when water flow is decreased.

Things to Do
